I am just asking, of course I do not need that much of RAM memory. I will probably overclock it to Mhz. Does RAM memory got any significant difference in general performance in gaming?
Sure it will work in dual channel, but why would you want to do that instead of the designated primary slots? Beyond , not much performance benefit.

Some get away with it, but it is not at all recommended, even by RAM manufacturers not to do it. You can ridiculously put in 3 sticks not smart and it will still be dual channel.
